On National Heroes Day, PTDI Sent One Unit of NC212i Plane Again to Thailand

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - To coincide with Heroes' Day 2019, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) or PTDI again sent an NC212i aircraft to Thailand. Thus, a total of two NC212i aircraft have been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand.

Today, Sunday 10 November 2019, PTDI sent the NC212i aircraft directly from the PTDI Hangar Delivery Center to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. The plane is planned to arrive on Monday 11 November 2019.

The NC212i aircraft delivered today completes the procurement contract for 2 (two) NC212i aircraft between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. The users are the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand.
Capt Zulda Hendra as Pilot In Command and Capt Billy Yudha Firmansyah as Copilot flew NC212i from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung to Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, and continued to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination.

The first NC212i aircraft order was sent on October 22, 2019. With the submission of all aircraft orders, it means PTDI is a month faster so the contract schedule to complete the order, which should be due in December 2019.

PTDI's Head of Corporate Planning and Program Management Sub Directorate Iwan Krisnanto reviewed the preparation and release of the NC212i ferry flight which would then be operated by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC), Thailand.

The NC212i will go through Final Acceptance by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand, on November 12, 2019.
This NC212i aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop / paratroop transport and medical evacuation which can be installed alternately according to the operational needs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative (MOAC) of Thailand.

To date, PTDI has managed to deliver 445 aircraft and helicopters, both domestic and foreign. The NC212i type has been fully worked on by PTDI. That is, PTDI is the only aircraft industry in the world currently producing NC212i aircraft.

The NC212i aircraft is the latest generation multipurpose aircraft from NC212 with a capacity of 28 passengers, has a ramp door, spacious cabin in its class, a more modern navigation and communication system, lower operating costs but remains competitive in the small aircraft market.
PTDI has succeeded in producing NC212 aircraft as many as 115 units for domestic and overseas, from a total of 586 units of NC212 series population in the world.

The domestic operators that use NC212 series aircraft are the Indonesian Air Force, the Army, Navy, Police, BPPT, where the NC212 series aircraft is used for civil, military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) transport aircraft. While foreign operators are Thailand for military transport and weather modification (rain making), the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft.
The prospect of the aircraft industry currently has a fairly large market share, especially in commercial aircraft. PTDI will increase NC212i's aircraft production capacity, which was originally four aircraft per year, to six aircraft per year, which will begin next year to meet NC212i's target needs for the next 10 years.
